Christmas at Longwood Gardens

Last Sunday, December 7th, Jim, Lyle & I went to Longwood Gardens. It’s one of things I had to do at least once in my life. Longwood is located in Kennett Square, Pa.  It took us about an hour and a half to get there—-not a bad drive. I thought you might like to see some pictures of the blooms!

This little bit of water heaven had what appeared to be cranberries floating in amongst the fountains.

Little Red Dogwood branches are sticking up behind the silver colored mounds of a type of daisy. One of the pictures that follow has them in bloom—-yellow, yellow, yellow!

Jim says these fountains have to be perfectly straight in order for the water to rise above the lip of the fountain edge.  Cool, isn’t it?

This is the most gorgeous blue color!

Jim and Lyle were trying to hide from the camera….got cha!

These were the pictures I took before we left the house. Our first little bit of snow!  Unfortunately, along with the snow was the Canadian Wind Blast, making it feel like we were in the single digits. We could not enjoy the Christmas lights that were outside at the Gardens.  You could barely breath without having your scarf up over your nose…..BRRRRRRRRRR. So you’ll just have to go to their website and see the rest of the pictures.

Now onto a little more serious side of business——this will be the last weekend we will have the Bead-For-Life beads. They have to be returned on 12-15-08.  So if you wish to get them for Christmas gifts stop by the shop this weekend!

That’s about it for the moment! Send us a line—-leave us a comment—we love to hear from you all!

Toni & Lyle
